Curb Records recording artist Dylan Scott surprised fans this week on social media by announcing his upcoming album, Livin’ My Best Life. The highly-anticipated full-length project will arrive August 5, 2022. CD and vinyl pre-orders, including signed options, are available now at www.dylanscottcountry.com. Digital pre-orders begin March 25. In support of the new LP, the CMT Music Award winner will launch his headlining “Livin’ My Best Life Tour” next week, with direct support from Dylan Marlowe. The 22-city coast-to-coast trek begins Feb. 24 in Grand Rapids, MI, and concludes Apr. 29 in Silver Spring, MD. Continuing to share new music leading up to the official release date, Scott debuts viral TikTok hit “Can’t Have Mine” today (2/18) — listen to “Can’t Have Mine” HERE and pre-add/pre-save the Livin’ My Best Life album HERE.
After co-writing “Can’t Have Mine” with Matt Alderman, Josh Melton and Dallas Wilson, Scott posted a clip of the unreleased song online. The clip quickly went viral on TikTok, generating over 36K sound usages and over 5M views across his social platforms in just a few weeks, while the song instantly went Top 5 on the iTunes Country Chart upon release. Patterned after his real-life romance with his high school sweetheart and now wife, Blair, the heart-melting ballad finds the husband and father of two counseling every country boy on the type of woman to look for: “Find you a girl that leaves you speechless, gets wild on the town but still loves Jesus,” he advises. There’s just one condition: You can’t have his girl.
Scott released an acoustic video for “Can’t Have Mine” on Valentine’s Day. The song is the third taste of new music previewing Livin’ My Best Life, following nostalgic hometown anthem “Static” and fiery lead single “New Truck.” Watch the romantic video HERE.
